Moving to Cyprus from the UK with Your Dog: Flying Together in the Cabin
From the UK, almost every airline puts dogs in the hold. Here's how to move to Cyprus with your dog sitting next to you in the cabin.

You've found a place in Cyprus, the moving date is getting closer, and of course the dog is coming too. The tricky part usually starts when you try to book the flight. From the UK, almost every airline will only take your dog in the hold, if they take it at all, and that's not something many owners are willing to put their dog through.
That's where Sky Society comes in. We arrange private jet flights where your dog stays with you in the cabin, whatever their size. You can share the flight and the cost with other travellers, or charter the jet just for you, your family and your pets.
Why can't my dog fly in the cabin from the UK?
Elsewhere in Europe, many airlines let small dogs travel in the cabin, usually up to around 8 kg including the carrier. Flying out of the UK, that option hardly exists. British Airways, easyJet and Jet2, for example, only allow assistance dogs in the cabin. British Airways flies other dogs as cargo in the hold, and easyJet and Jet2 don't take them at all.
A private jet is a different story. Whether your dog can travel in the cabin depends on the aircraft, the space on board and the operator. We sort that out with you before you commit to a booking.
JetSharing from the UK to Cyprus: share a flight
Not every move calls for an entire aircraft. With JetSharing you book individual seats on a private jet and travel with a small group of guests who are flying with their dogs too. You still fly privately, with your dog by your side. We put the group together so that the route and timing work for everyone.
Every booked seat comes with room for one dog. We check in advance that the aircraft works for all the dogs on board. With a bit of luck, you'll end up sitting next to someone who's making the same move you are.
You'll find all currently planned flights on our flights page. If there's nothing from the UK yet, your route request is what gets one started.
How to set up your route request from the UK to Cyprus
You don't need a fixed date yet. If you roughly know which month you want to move, that's enough to get started.
1. Departure point and timeframe
Create your route request on our website. Tell us where in the UK you'd like to fly from, whether that's London or somewhere else, and when you're planning to move. In Cyprus, both Larnaca and Paphos are options as your arrival airport.
If you're flexible on the date or the departure airport, mention it. The more room you give us, the more options we can find.
2. Who's coming along?
How many people, how many pets? For your dog, we'll need the breed, size and weight. That tells us which aircraft are suitable in the first place.
3. Budget
Give us a range for what you'd like to spend per person, dog included. That way we know from the start which requests we can combine.
4. Finding fellow travellers
Based on your route request, we look for others who want to fly a similar route in the same period. Once enough people sign up, you share one flight and split the cost.
A route request doesn't commit you to anything. Whether a flight goes ahead depends mainly on demand and on whether a suitable aircraft is available. You'll get the exact date and price before you book anything.
Flying privately: a jet just for you
Some people don't want their moving day to depend on anyone else's plans. Or there are two dogs, a cat and three kids coming along. In that case an exclusive private charter makes more sense. You book the whole aircraft, and the schedule works around you.
To search for a jet, we need: your departure airport in the UK and your destination in Cyprus, your travel date and preferred departure time, the number of people and pets, how much luggage you're bringing for the move and your budget.
We contact charter operators in our network, compare their offers and send you the ones that fit what you've told us. Just add a note to your request saying you'd like an exclusive charter.
How much does it cost to fly from the UK to Cyprus with a dog?
There's no fixed price. The route, date, aircraft type and availability all affect it, and with JetSharing so does the number of people on board. A full flight costs less per seat than one with only three passengers.
That's why we price every offer individually. Your budget range helps us work out which option is realistic for you. If you can shift your dates by a few days or fly from a different airport, you'll usually have more to choose from.
FAQ: moving to Cyprus from the UK with a dog
Can my dog fly from the UK to Cyprus in the cabin?
Yes, on a private jet that's possible, including for large dogs. We look at your dog's size and weight and the route to work out which aircraft fits.
Do I have to book an entire private jet?
No. With JetSharing you book a seat and share the flight with others. If you'd rather keep it to your own group, you can charter the whole jet.
Can a dog travel with every booked seat?
Each seat comes with room for one dog. We confirm before the flight that there's enough space for yours.
My moving date isn't fixed yet. Can I still send a request?
Yes. Let us know roughly when you want to fly and how flexible you are. That's enough for us to start looking for fellow travellers and flights.
What documents does my dog need to travel from the UK to Cyprus?
Cyprus is in the EU, so your dog has to meet the EU entry rules. Since April 2026, GB residents can no longer use an EU pet passport to enter the EU and need an animal health certificate instead. We've put the details together on our travel documents page, and GOV.UK has the latest official guidance. You'll need to get the paperwork sorted yourself, but if you'd like help, we can put you in touch with a specialist agency.
Can I bring more than one pet?
List all your pets in your request and we'll find a solution for your whole group. With several animals, an exclusive charter is often the simpler option.
Your next step
There's plenty to organise when you move abroad. The flight doesn't have to be the thing that stays open until the last minute. Send us your route, timeframe and budget range, and we'll start looking.
