A dog travelling with SkySociety

Travel with your dog

Together on board. Your dog by your side.

With SkySociety, your pet travels with you in the cabin. Whether on a Shared Flight or Private Charter, we find the right flight option for you and coordinate all the necessary preparations.

How it works

Five steps, and a person with you for all of them.

  1. 1

Tell us about your travel plans

Share your departure point, destination and preferred travel period.

  2. 2

Add the passenger and your pet

Provide the passenger details as well as your pet’s breed, weight and size. This allows us to review suitable flight options for you.

  3. 3

    We review your travel details

We check the availability of suitable aircraft and review the entry and transport requirements for your route — before any payment is made.

  4. 4

    We guide the preparation

We let you know which documents are required and which deadlines apply. Once uploaded, we personally review your documents for completeness.

  5. 5

    You receive your travel confirmation

As soon as the aircraft and flight provider are confirmed and all requirements for your route are fulfilled, we confirm your journey.

Request your preferred route

Your route is not available yet? Start a request. If there is sufficient demand, we assess whether it can be offered as a Shared Flight.

Can your pet travel in the cabin?

Whether your pet can travel in the cabin depends on several factors. In addition to size and weight, we consider the aircraft type, the flight provider's requirements and the regulations that apply to your route at the time of travel.

We review the requirements individually before you make a binding booking. If the requested connection is not suitable for your pet, we will let you know early and transparently.

If pet capacity on your preferred flight is already full, we will arrange your journey together on the next suitable flight with available pet capacity.

What matters

  • Aircraft type, cabin layout and available space
  • Flight provider requirements for pets on board
  • Regulations in the departure country, destination country and, where applicable, transit country
  • Your pet's size, weight and behaviour, as well as the flight duration

The paperwork, in plain terms

Which documents a journey needs depends on where it goes. These are the categories that come up most often — your concierge confirms the exact list for your route.

Identification

A microchip that meets the ISO standard, readable at check-in.

Rabies vaccination

Given after the microchip, and still valid on the day you travel — the order matters, and it catches people out.

Health certificate

Issued by an official veterinarian, usually close to departure, with a validity window that varies by destination.

Import permit

Some countries require one before arrival. Where it applies, it usually takes the longest, so it is the first thing we start.

This is SkySociety's own preparation, not legal or veterinary advice. The airline, the operator and the authorities at each border make their own decisions, and those happen separately.

Example journey to Dubai with a dog

Example: flying to Dubai

The UAE is a frequent request and a good illustration of why the answer is route-specific. It requires an import permit issued in advance, alongside microchip, rabies and health documentation, and the sequence between them is what usually determines whether a date is realistic. Treat this as general orientation: your concierge confirms what your journey needs, for your dog, on your dates.

Frequently asked questions

Does my pet travel with me in the cabin?

Yes. On journeys we arrange, your pet travels with you in the cabin. We coordinate the details with the flight operator in advance.

Is there a weight limit for my pet?

The requirements depend on the aircraft type, the flight operator and your route. We assess the options for your pet individually and let you know before you make a binding booking.

Can I bring two dogs?

As a rule, one dog per person is planned. A second dog may travel on prior request, subject to availability and an additional charge.

Can I bring pets other than dogs?

Individual requests for other pets are always welcome. We will be happy to check whether your pet can travel on your preferred journey.

When should I start planning my journey?

Ideally, as soon as your travel plans are confirmed. Depending on the destination, documents and permits require different lead times. We will inform you early about the required steps and deadlines.

How much does my journey cost?

On a Shared Flight, you share the flight costs with other passengers. The price depends on the route and occupancy. With a Private Charter, you book the entire aircraft at an individually calculated price. You receive your quote before making a binding booking.

What can I do if my preferred route is not yet offered?

Send us a request for your preferred route. We collect requests from interested passengers and check whether a Shared Flight can be arranged. We will keep you informed about the options and current status.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us the route and we will tell you, honestly, whether it works for your dog.
