Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you fly.
Clear answers about shared flights, private charter and travelling with a pet. Entry rules can change, so destination requirements are always verified before departure.
Flights and booking
Can I request my preferred route?
Yes. Tell us your preferred departure point, destination and travel window. We collect compatible requests and assess whether the route can be operated as a Shared Flight. Your concierge will keep you updated on the current status.
How many passengers will I share the jet with?
The number depends on the aircraft type and occupancy. The relevant flight details show the total seating capacity and the seats already reserved before you book.
Will I know who the other passengers are?
We treat all passengers' personal data confidentially. Before departure, the required identity and travel documents of all passengers are checked.
Can I book the entire private jet?
Yes. With a Private Charter, the entire aircraft is exclusively yours. We plan your flight around your preferred route, schedule and personal requirements.
Pets in the cabin
Are the aircraft suitable for pets?
We select suitable flight options and confirm with the flight operator whether the aircraft and cabin are suitable for your pet. We confirm the requirements before you make a binding booking.
Where does my pet stay during the flight?
Your pet travels with you in the cabin. The crew will explain where it may stay during the flight and how it must be secured during taxi, take-off and landing.
Which pets can travel?
Alongside dogs, individual requests for cats and other pets are always welcome. We assess the options based on the type of animal, the aircraft type and the applicable regulations for your route.
Can I bring two dogs?
As a rule, one dog per person is planned. A second dog may travel on prior request, subject to availability and an additional charge.
Are there size or weight limits?
The requirements depend on the aircraft type, available space, the flight operator and your route. Tell us your pet's size and weight. We assess the options and inform you before you make a binding booking.
Documents and departure
What travel documents does my pet need?
The required documents depend on the type of animal as well as the departure and destination countries. They may include proof of microchipping, vaccination records, a veterinary health certificate, an import permit and, where applicable, proof of a rabies antibody titre test. We will let you know what is required for your journey.
How should I prepare my pet for the journey?
Start preparing early. Coordinate the required vaccinations, documents and deadlines with your veterinarian. Your concierge will support you with a checklist tailored to your route.
When should I arrive at the terminal?
We will confirm the exact arrival time and departure terminal before your journey. You will also receive all information about the document check and the contact details of your local point of contact.
How much baggage may I bring?
Each person may bring one piece of checked baggage and one small item of hand luggage. We will provide the exact weight and size limits in good time before your journey. Please let us know about bulky baggage in advance so we can confirm that it can be carried.
Confirmation and cancellation
When will I know whether the flight is definitely operating?
The flight card shows current demand. Once the activation threshold and operational checks are complete, you receive a confirmation in the dashboard and through your chosen notification channel.
Can my flight be cancelled?
A shared route can remain unconfirmed or be cancelled for operational reasons. If SkySociety cannot confirm it, your deposit is refunded in full or moved to another route at your request.
What happens if a jet-sharing flight does not reach the minimum number of bookings?
You can receive a full deposit refund, move the deposit to a compatible departure, or ask the concierge about chartering the remaining capacity.
What are the cancellation terms for jet sharing?
The applicable cancellation and refund terms are shown with the specific flight offer before a reservation is confirmed.
What are the cancellation terms for a private charter?
Charter cancellation terms depend on the operator and are confirmed with the quote. The reference schedule is 15% from confirmation to 14 days, 35% from 14 to 7 days, 75% from 7 to 3 days and 100% inside 3 days. Written confirmation is required.
Commercial terms and entry requirements are verified for each journey.
